Been thinking a ton about this particular piece lately, largely due to the fact that I've been reading this fantastic Biography about Miles Davis titled "So What - The Life & Times Of Miles Davis", written by John Swed. It's an incredibly comprehensive look into his life from many different perspectives, leaving all the dirt and glory so often glazed over or exaggerated depending on who's talking. I believe it's the most recent account of his life, published in 2002. Absolutely recommended for anybody curious about his career.
The author also published, "Space Is The Place: The Lives And Times Of Sun Ra" also worth a read.
